The Vision Australia Certificates in Access Technology (I-IV) are a series of courses developed for students who are blind or have low vision in years 9-12.

The Certificates will prepare senior secondary students with the skills required to participate in learning and the workforce.

The Certificates are based on the Expanded Core Curriculum and include units on:

  • preparing for the workforce
  • access technology
  • visual and braille skills
  • independent living
  • audio skills
  • communication
  • career and self-determination
  • social and recreation.

Completing the Certificates

The Vision Australia Certificates in Access Technology will be available to complete online, meaning young people who are blind or have low vision can complete them from anywhere in Australia.
